At the beginning of the game, players will be given some information about the country they have chosen. Some of that information is usually about the size you can choose. When you start TheoTown, your land has no buildings for people to use, only trees. This way you will start adding the elements that you think are necessary and arrange them in an accurate and orderly way. You will be able to see your land in two main ways: when you are normally observing and when you are making a random item. As you build, your land will be divided into small cells to make it easier for you.
The first two elements you will need to take care of are electricity and water, two essentials that every resident will need. In particular, you will need to build solar batteries, power transmission lines. In addition, you can also add some water tanks and underground pipes to lead to the area you are preparing for people to live there. You will see the first residents coming to your city after the place has enough resources.

Everyone will notice the amount on the right side of the screen in TheoTown. There will be an amount that you hold, and next to it will be an amount of money that decreases or increases over time. In other words, if you build enough elements to insure people's lives, the amount you get will be amazing after deducting some maintenance costs. In addition, with the diversity of aspects of the city, you will take the time to find out what the residents need.
In the menu bar at the top of the screen, you'll find buildings to choose from and build unlocked items. They will be completely versatile and will help you reach a fully developed city. Of course, sometimes it will take time to design your city or you don't know what to build next. So, in some cases, you will get additional requests from people and you can do it immediately after, such as building an industrial park, police station, fire station and many other important things.
